When I made my first NextGen Gallery in Wordpress and clicked one of the thumbnails in IE7, the Gallery displayed the image at the bottom of the browser. About one third of the image and the menu options (close, next, prev) were obscured. VERY ANNOYING.

Change the Nextgen Gallery plugin to use Shutter Reloaded image display instead of the default thickbox. Shutter reloaded is fast, thin and one the best ways to display pictures in Wordpress if you ask me. See it in action elsewhere in this blog.

I highly recommend the Nextgen Gallery plugin for managing picture galleries in Wordpress. The package is a full featured photo library management system with uploading, resizing, tagging, slide shows and many other options. Get it.

Howdy. Thought I’d play with blogging here because WordPress is interesting as a content management system. And its easy to play with because the community which has evolved around it has created a wealth of add-ons, plug-ins, etc. I’ll let you know my opinions and experiences with some of these as the blog unfolds.
